Parkdale Fire Volunteers
The Parkdale Rural Fire Protection District (PRFPD) volunteers are organized to provide emergency fire and medical services within the fire district. The Parkdale Rural Fire Protection District is supported by local property tax assessments.
Our department is staffed by one full-time paid Fire Chief, a part-time Chiefs Assistant and approximately 20 volunteers and 6 students. The department is made up of two active companies, each with a Captain, Lieutenant, Engineer, and several firefighters. The Board of Directors is elected by the community. The Fire Chief is appointed by the Board of Directors. The remaining officers are appointed by the Chief and Assistant Chiefs. Firefighters are assigned to companies based on company size and need.
Monthly Department Activities
Regular Membership
The District provides all equipment, individual gear and facilities for the volunteers. The District is governed by a fire-member board elected by the residents of the district. The board appoints the Chief. The Chief and Assistant Chiefs are responsible for the operation of all emergency, regular business services and daily operations.
